Manche Menschen werden geformt am Schreibtisch. Ich wurde geformt an der Maschine, im Schichtdienst, im Hörsaal nach Feierabend — und irgendwann am Schmiedeofen, bei rund 1200°C. Das hier ist die Geschichte, wie aus Hitze Klarheit wurde.
Some people are shaped behind a desk. I was shaped at the machine, on shift work, in lecture halls after my shift ended — and at some point, at a forge running near 1200°C. This is the story of how heat became clarity.

Geboren 1979 im Frankenland. Als Ältester hatte ich schon früh das Gefühl, den Weg für andere ebnen zu müssen — zuerst für meine Brüder, später für ganz andere Menschen.

Mit 12 Jahren wollte ich mein Taschengeld aufbessern und habe dafür Zeitungen ausgetragen — bei Wind und Wetter, über Jahre hinweg. Später Hilfsarbeitertätigkeiten für die Automobilindustrie und in der Logistik. Kein Startvorteil — nur Bereitschaft, anzupacken.
At 12, I wanted to top up my pocket money, so I started delivering newspapers — rain or shine, for years. Later came laboring jobs for the automotive industry and in logistics. No head start — just a willingness to show up and work.
Industriemechaniker-Lehre in der Automobilindustrie
Industrial mechanic apprenticeship, automotive industry
Technische Ausbildung in der Automobilindustrie, von der Pike auf — als kleiner Industriemechaniker angefangen, dann Arbeiter in der Produktion im Dreischichtbetrieb. Dort lernte ich nicht nur, wie Maschinen wirklich funktionieren, sondern auch tiefe Einblicke in ISO-Normen, Audits, Zertifizierungen und Prozesse, wie sie in der Automobilindustrie gang und gäbe sind.
Technical apprenticeship in the automotive industry, learned from the ground up — starting as a junior industrial mechanic, then working three-shift rotations on the production floor. There I learned not just how machines actually work, but also gained deep insight into ISO standards, audits, certifications and the processes standard across the automotive industry.

Forge fitter at the forge

Neben dem Job, in Kaiserslautern: 2012 zuerst eine ganzheitliche Ausbildung zum Ernährungsberater an der Paracelsus Heilpraktikerschule — u.a. mit Ayurveda- und TCM-Elementen. Danach Weiterbildung zum Maschinenbautechniker, ein MBA (Master of Technical Management), ein Bachelor in Sportpsychologie und ein Master in Health- und Brandschutztechnik. Nachts gelernt, am Wochenende studiert. Am Ende übernahm ich ein eigenes Ressort mit Mitarbeiterverantwortung und leitete den passiven und baulichen Brandschutz im Konzern.
Alongside my job, in Kaiserslautern: in 2012, first a holistic nutrition consultant training at the Paracelsus School of Alternative Medicine — including elements of Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Then further training as a mechanical engineering technician, an MBA, a bachelor's in sports psychology and a master's in health and fire protection engineering. Studying at night, on weekends. Eventually I took on my own department with staff responsibility, leading passive and structural fire protection for the company.
Das Angebot — und der bewusste Ausstieg
The offer — and the conscious exit
24 treue Jahre im Konzern. Ein Angebot für eine Führungsposition mit sechsstelligem Jahresgehalt lag auf dem Tisch. Ich habe abgelehnt. Nicht aus Frust. Aus einer einzigen unbequemen Frage: „Bin ich frei — oder sehe ich nur so aus?"
24 loyal years in the company. A management offer with a six-figure annual salary was on the table. I turned it down. Not out of frustration — because of one uncomfortable question: "Am I free — or do I just look like it?"
Ortsunabhängig. Selbstständig. Immer noch lernend.
Location-independent. Self-employed. Still learning.
Heute lebe ich ortsunabhängig, baue eigene Unternehmen auf, betreibe ein Airbnb-Geschäft und beschäftige mich intensiv mit Bitcoin, alternativen Anlageklassen, Gesundheit, Longevity und Performance. Nicht als Guru — als jemand, der selbst noch dabei ist.
Today I live location-independently, build my own businesses, run an Airbnb operation, and study Bitcoin, alternative assets, health, longevity and performance in depth. Not as a guru — as someone still figuring it out himself.
